Rules

The idea

All players see the same board with 16 words. One of them is the secret. Everyone knows it, except the Klugschnacker. The others want to unmask them without giving the word away. The Klugschnacker wants to stay undetected.

How it goes

1. 1

   Look at your card: it shows only while your finger is on it.

2. 2

   One word each: everyone says exactly one word about it. The first speaker changes every round.

3. 3

   Discuss: briefly talk about who sounded suspicious.

4. 4

   Vote: everyone votes, but not for themselves.

5. 5

   Last chance: if the Klugschnacker is caught, they tap the word they think was the secret. They have 30 seconds.

Points

Ties

If several players have the same number of votes, vote once more between them. If it’s still a tie, the Klugschnacker gets away.

End of the game

You play up to a target score, usually 5. If several players reach it at the same time, they win together.
